Ratio = 3 : 7

Define x:

Let x be the constant ratio:

Ratio = 3x : 7x

Given that the difference is 16

7x - 3x = 16

4x = 16

x = 16 ÷ 4 = 4

Find the quantity :

3x = 3(4) = 12

7x = 7(4) = 28

Answer: The quantity is 12 and 28.

Heya!!

-----------------------------

Let the meet of ratio be n.

Then numbers are 3n and 7n.

A/Q :

=) 7n - 3n =16

=) 4n = 16

=) n = 4

Hence numbers are 3* 4 = 12 & 7*4 = 28.

Hope it helps uh!!
