According to the question,

$\frac{7}{8} = \frac{x}{64000}$
Here, x = monthly expenditure.

=> x = (7 × 64000) ÷ 8
=> x = 56000

Therefore, monthly savings
= 64000 - 56000
= Rs. 8000.
