Rational Numbers Between Two Unequal Rational Numbers. As we know that rational numbers are the numbers which are represented in the form of p/q where 'p' and 'q' are integers and 'q' is not equal to zero. ... Also, between two rational numbers there are infinite number of rational numbers.

RATIONAL NUMBERS BETWEEN TWO RATIONAL NUMBERS

BEFORE STARTING THIS TOPIC, LET’S REVISE

RATIONAL NUMBERS CAN BE EXPRESSED IN THE FORM OF p/q WHERE q IS NOT EQUAL TO ZERO

NOW LET’S START OUR TOPIC THAT IS ‘RATIONAL NUMBERS BETWEEN TWO RATIONAL NUMBERS’

TO FIND A RATIONAL NUMBER BETWEEN TWO RATIONAL NUMBERS, WE WILL JUST ADD THE RATIONAL NUMBERS GIVEN TO US AND AFTER ADDING THEM, WE HAVE TO DIVIDE THEIR SUM BY 2

EXAMPLE : FIND A RATIONAL NUMBER BETWEEN 1/2 AND 2/3
ANSWER : ( 1/2 + 2/3 ) DIVIDED BY 2 = 7/6 DIVIDED BY 2 = 7/6 MULTIPLIED BY (RECIPROCAL OF 2 THAT IS 1/2) = 7/12

THEREFORE, 7/12 IS A RATIONAL NUMBER BETWEEN 1/2 AND 2/3
