a rational number is such that when you mutiply it by 5/2 and add 2/3 to the product, you get -7/12 what us the number?

let the rational number be X.

so, as per question :-

X×(5/2) +(2/3) = (-7/12)

(15X+4)/6 = (-7/12)

30X+8 = -7

X= -15/30 = (-1/2)

so the rational number is -1/2.
