A ray of light travelling in air entets obliquely into eater.does the light ray bends towards the normal or away from the normal?why?

I've searched for the word eater ,but there's no such suitable meaning for this.. might be a spelling mistake from you. But still the answer lies within the nature of the medium. We consider the air to be the rearest medium so the light will bend towards the Normal
