a rectangle and a square are of equal area if the length and the perimeter of the rectangle 25 centimetre and 58 CM respectively then find the area and the perimeter of the square​

58 = 2(25 x b)

58/2 = 25 x b

29/25 = b

or b = 1.16 cm

now area of the rect.

length x breadth

25 x 1.16

29 cm²

It is given that the area of rect is equals to area of square.

so, we can write

area of rect = area of sq.

29 cm² = a²

or a = 5.4 cm

perimeter of sq.

4a

4 x 5.4 cm

21.6 cm

and area of square is 29cm²
