suppose width of rectangle is b.
given
length l=6m
and perimeter of rectangle=80m
then...
the perimeter of rectangle =2(length+width)
2(l+b)=80
2(6+b)=80
12+2b=80
2b=80-12
2b=68
b=68/2
b=34m

Assumption
Breadth of rectangle = p
Hence,
Length = (p + 6)
As we know that,
Hence,
80 = 2(p + 6 + p)
80 = 2(2p + 6)
80 = 4p + 12
4p = 80 - 12
4p = 68
p = 17
Now,
Dimension :-
Breadth = p = 17
Also
Length = p + 6 = 17 + 6 = 23 m
Now,
Area of rectangle = l × b
= 23 × 17
= 391 m²
