Answer:

Let sides be l,b

2(l+b)=10

Now they gave the new sides are 2l,2b

2(2l+2b)=2(10)=20

Therefore percent increase=(20–10/10)*100=100%

Side of a square = 10 cm

Perimeter of square = 4 × side

= 4 x 10 cm

= 40 cm

Side of square after doubling the length = 20 cm

Perimeter of new square = 4 × new side

= 4 × 20 cm

= 80 cm

Thus, the new perimeter will also be doubled, if the side of the square is doubled
