let the breadth be x.
then,length be 3x.
2(l+b)=48cm
2(x+3x)=48cm
8x=48cm
x=48/8cm
x=6cm
length=3x=3*6=18cm
breadth=x=6cm.
HOPE IT HELPS YOU.
