A rectangle has an area of 25cm sqaured. If each side has its length doubled. What is the new area?

L = Length
B = Breadth
Area of rectangle = L×B
LB =25 \: cm ^{2}   \:  \:  \:  \: ....(1) \\ making \: length \: double \:  = 2L \\ breadth = B  \\ new \: area \:  = 2L \times B   \\ = 2LB  \\ =  2(25 \: cm^{2} ) \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:[from \: (1)]\\ =  50cm ^{2}
