Hey,
perimeter =50cm
Let the breadth be X,
perimeter =2(l+b)
50=2(13+x+x)
50=2(13+2x)
50=26+4x
x=6cm.
Therefore, area=l*b
=19*6
=114cm^2.
Hope this helps you!!

Correct Question:

A rectangle has a perimeter of 50m if the length is 13 meters more than its breadth find the area

Given:

The perimeter of a rectangle = 50m

To find:

Length and Breadth of a rectangle

Area of a rectangle.

Solution :

Finding the Length and Breadth:

Let the breadth be B

Length is 13 meters more than its breadth = B + 13

The perimeter of a rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

=> perimeter is given = 50m

=> 50 = 2(B + B+13)

=> 50 = 2(2B +13)

=> 50 = 4B + 26

=> 4B = 50 - 26

=> 4B = 24

=> B = 24/4

=> B = 6

Hence, the Breadth of a rectangle is 6 meters.

The length of a rectangle is 6 + 13 = 19 metres.

Finding the Area:

Area of a rectangle = length x breadth

=> Area = 6 x 19

=> Area = 114 m^2.

Hence, The area of a rectangle is 114 m^2.
