Hi, hope this helps:

Area of rectangle = length x breadth

So area of rectangle = 25x16= 400cm

Let the side of the square be s

Area of square = side x side= s*s= s^2

s^2 = Area of rectangle = 400

s= root of 400= 20cm

Answer : Side of a square = 20 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

A rectangle is 25m long and 16 m broad.

Area of rectangle equals to area of square.

To find :

The side of the square.

Finding the Area of rectangle :-

Area of Rectangle = length x breadth

=> 25 x 16

=> 400 m^2

Finding the side of a square :-

Area of rectangle equals to area of square.

Area of square = 400m^2

Area of square = side x side

400m^2 = side x side

side = √400

Side = 20.

Hence, Side of a square = 20 m
