Therefore length = 4x
Area = x×4x
= 4x2
In second situation,
Length = 4x + 4
Breadth = x-1
Area = 60
ATQ
(4x +4) (x-1) = 60
4x2 - 4x +4x -4 = 60
4x2 = 60+4
x2 = 64/4
x = 4
Therefore actual width of rectangle=4
Length of rectangle = 4×4=16
