perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

l=x cm

b=(2x-10)

p=2(x+2x-10)

=6x-20

if b=6cm

2(x+6) = 6x-20

2x+12=6x-20

6x-2x = 12+20

4x = 32

x = 32÷4

= 8

Therefore,x=8
