A rectangle lawn measuring 50m by 36 m is surrounded extremely by a path which is 2m wide find the area od the path .aslo calculated the cost of levelling of the path at₹3.25 per m2

l of inner rectangle= 50m
b of inner rectangle =36m
      area=50*36
             = 1800m²
l of outer rectangle= 50+2+2 = 54m         ( add the width on both sides )    
b of outer rectangle =36+2+2 = 40m       (  add the width on both sides )  
      area= 54*40
             =2160m²

area of path=area of outer rect.- area of inner rectangle
                   =2160-1800
                   =360m²
cost of levelling=3.25*360
                         = rs 1700
