A rectangle measures 40cm at its length and 20cm at its width. Find the ratio of the length to the width.

amenasociallover: if 40:20. then 20:10 so the answer would be 2:1
chinmay3999: The ratio is 40:20=20:10=2:1

Hey there !

Thanks for the question !

Here's the answer !

Length = 40 cm

Breadth = 20 cm

So the question has asked about the ratio between length and breadth. This can be given as:

Length : Breadth = 40 : 20

=> Length : Breadth = 4 : 2 which can be simplified to 2 : 1

So the ratio between Length and Breadth is 2 : 1.

Hope my answer helped !
