A rectangle measuring 30m ×35m is taken out of a square measuring 50m×50m . Find the area of the left over portion.​

Answer: 1450m^2

Firstly we'll have to find the area of square from which rectangle is being cut,

Area of square = s^2

50^2 = 2500m^2

Now we will find area of rectangle

Area of rectangle = l x b

30m * 35m

=1050m^2

Area of left over portion = Area of square- Area of rectangle

= 2500 - 1050

=1450 m^2
