after finding the breadth of rectangle we will find its area area of rectangle is= 40* 20. = 800 and area of sq = 30*30 = 900 area of sq is more by 900 - 800 = 100( formula of area of rectangle is length into breadth and area of sq = side * side

Length of rectangle is 40 cm.
Width=?
side of square= 30 cm.
now, in the question it is given that perimeter of rectangle is equal to the perimeter of square.

=>2(L+B)=4 x side
=>2(40+B)=4 x 30
=>80+2B=120
=>2B=120-80
=>2B=40
=>B=40/2=20
area of rectangle=length x breadth
=40 x 20
=800
area of square=side x side
