A rectangle room is 10 m long and 6m wide find the cost of covering the floor with a carpet 2m wide at the rate of ₹ 42 per metre​

Thus, 60 m² = Length of carpet × Breadth of carpet

          60 m² = Length of carpet × 2 m

          \frac{60 m^{2} }{2 m} }  = 30 m = Length of the carpet.

Cost of covering the floor of 1 m = ₹42

Therefore, cost of covering the whole floor = ₹42×30  m

                                                                           = ₹1260
