Put values:

10000=4x∗4x10000=4x∗4x

or 16x2=1000016x2=10000

or x2=10000/16x2=10000/16

Take square roots on both sides:

x=100/4x=100/4

therefore x=25x=25

So, the length and width of the rectangle are 100 and 25 respectively.
