a rectangular block weights 240N.The area of block in contact with the floor is 20cm^2 calculate the pressure on the floor ( give answer in N/cm^2)

The force applied on the floor= Weight of the block = 240 N

The area of application = 20 cm^2

Hence the pressure applied on the floor

$= \frac{240}{20}$

= 12 N/cm^2
