Suppose the dimensions of a rectangular solid is 1 then

V  = 1  × 1  × (l  × b  × h taken as 1)

V  =  1^3

If it is doubled, then

V  =  2^3

V  = 8 times

Hence volume will increase by 8 times.

Answer:

Suppose the dimensions of a rectangular solid is 1 , then

V = 1×1× ( l×b×h taken as 1 )

V = 1³

If it is doubled , then

V = 2³

V = 8times

Hence , volume will increase by 8 times !
