A rectangular box is 10 m long, 6 m wide and 4m high how many cubes of volume 15 m3 can be placed in this box

Volume = side³

Find the length of the side of the cube:

Volume of the cube = 15m³

side³ = 15

side = √15

side = 2.5 m (nearest tenth)

Find number of cubes that can fit lengthwise:

10 ÷ 2.5 = 4 cubes

Find the number of cubes that can fit breadthwise:

6 ÷ 2.5 = 2 cubes

.

Find the number of cubes that can fit heightwise:

4 ÷ 2.5 = 1 cube

.

Total number of cubes that can be placed in the box:

4 x 2 x 1 = 8 cubes

.

Answer: 8 cubes can be placed in the box.
