in a test a student get +1/2 marks for every correct answers and -1/3 for every incorrect answer. sindhu attempt all questions and scored 16/9 marks. she answered 7 questions correctly.
1. how many question did she answer correctly?
2. How many questions were there in test?
3. What would her score have been, if she had answered one more question properly?

1. Let the no of incorrect answer be x
Then 1/2*7 - 1x/3= 16/9
x/3 = 7/2 - 16/9 = 31/18
X = 5 ( approx)

2. Total no. Of questions 7+5 = 12

3. 8*1/2 - 4/3 = 4-4/3 = 8/3
