A rectangular chart is 13/5 times as long as it is wide. If it were 7 centimeters longer and 5 centimeters wider, it would be 110 square centimeters larger. How long is the chart?

Let breadth be 'x' and the length '13/5*x'

area = x × 13/5*x = 13/5*x²

new length = 13/5*x + 7

new breadth = x + 5

(13/5*x + 7) × (x + 5) = 13/5*x² + 110

  13/5*x² + 7x + 13x + 35 = 13/5*x² + 110

20x = 75

x = 3.75

Breadth = 3.75

length = 9.75
