A rectangular field 40 m by 30 m has two paths running in the middle of it, one parallel to the length and the other parallel to the breadth. The width of the longer and shorter paths are 1.2 m and 2 m, respectively. Find the area of the paths. Also, find the area of the remaining portion of the field​

Area of Longer path = 40×1.2= 48 m²

Area of shorter path = 30×2= 60 m²

Area of Remaining Portion = (30-1.2) × (40-2)

= 28.8 × 38

= 1094.4 m²
