Area of Road = Area with Road - Area of Lawn

A=(50+4)×(36+4) -( 50×36)

A= 2160 - 1800

A=360 sq meter

cost of leveling the path = 360×3.25=Rs.1170

cost \:  = 1170 \: rupees

<b><i><font face=Copper black size=4 color=blue> Here is your answer.
Area of rectangular lawn is
 = 50 \times 36 \\  = 1800 \: m {}^{2}
Now a path is surrounded externally by 2 m wide so,
Length = 50+2+2 = 54 m
Breadth = 36+2+2 = 40 m
Hence Area = 54 × 40
= 2160 sq.m

Now the Area of path = 2160 - 1800
= 360 sq.m

Rate of labeling the path is Rs 3.25 per square meter

Cost of labeling is = 3.25 × 360
= Rs 1170
