Answer-Let rectangular park be denoted as ABCD
Length (l) of park = 45 m
Breadth (b) of park = 35 m
Area of park = l×b = 45 m × 35 m = 1575 m²
Let path outside be denoted by PQRS
Length = 45 m + 2.5 m + 2.5 m = 50 m
Breadth = 35 m + 2.5 m + 2.5 m = 40 m
Area = l×b = 50 m × 40 m = 2000 m²
Area of path = Area of rectangle PQRS - Area of rectangle ABCD
                    =  2000 m² - 1575 m²
                    = 425 m²
∴Area of path = 425 m²
