A rectangular park is 75m. long and 40m. wide. A path 3.5m. wide is constructed along and outside the park. Find the Area of Path.​

Answer:

Area of inner rectangle= L×B

= 75×40=3000m

length of outer rect.= 3.5+3.5+75=82m

breadth of outer rectangle= 3.5+3.5+40=47m

area of outer rectangle = 82×47=3854m

area of the path = area of outer rectangle - area of a inner rectangle

area of path = 3854-3000= 854m.
