A rectangular park is 90 m long and 70 m broad. A
path 6 m wide is to be built around the inside of the
park. Find the area of the path. Also, find the area
of the remaining park in hectares.​

ANSWER:-

  1. area of park = L×B
  2. = 90 m × 70 m
  3. = 6300m square
  4. length of park = 90 - 6 - 6 = 78
  5. breathe of park = 70 -6 -6= 58
  6. area of path = L×B
  7. = (78 × 58 ) m
  8. = 4524 m square
  9. remaining park = area of park - area of path
  10. = 6300 - 4524= 1776 m
  11. 0.178 hectare
