the total length of wire needed is 4.8

jenny21: but how can you explain
siddhartharao77: 2(0.5+0.3) = 1.6.Given 3 rows of wires = 3 * 1.6 = 4.8

Given that the length of the rectangular piece of land = 0.5km.

Given that the width of the rectangular land = 0.3 km.

We know that perimeter of a rectangle is given by = 2(l+b)

= 2(0.5 + 0.3)

= 2(0.8)

= 1.6.

Given that Each side to be fenced with 3 rows of wires.

Therefore the total length of wire needed = 1.6 * 3

                                                                       = 4.8 km.

Hope this helps!
