Given :

  • Length of a rectangular paper = 44 cm
  • Breadth of a rectangular paper = 7 cm
  • Height of a cylinder = 7 cm

To find :

  • Volume of the cylinder

Knowledge required :-

→ Formula of circumference :-

  • Circumference = 2πr

→ Formula of volume of cylinder :-

  • Volume of cylinder = πr²h

where,

  • Take π = 22/7
  • r = radius
  • h = height

Solution :

Length of the rectangular paper = Circumference

⠀⠀⠀⇒ Circumference = 2πr

⠀⠀⠀⇒ 44 = 2 × 22/7 × r

⠀⠀⠀⇒ 44 = 44/7 × r

⠀⠀⠀⇒ 44 × 7/44 = r

⠀⠀⠀⇒ 7 = r

Radius of the cylinder = 7 cm

Volume of the cylinder :-

⠀⠀⠀⇒ Volume = πr²h

⠀⠀⠀⇒ Volume = 22/7 × (7)² × 7

⠀⠀⠀⇒ Volume = 22/7 × 7 × 7 × 7

⠀⠀⠀⇒ Volume = 22 × 7 × 7

⠀⠀⠀⇒ Volume = 1078

Volume of the cylinder = 1078 cm³

Given :-

  • Length of Paper = 44cm
  • Breadth of Paper = 7cm
  • Height of Cylinder = 7cm

 \\

To Find :-

  • Volume of Cylinder

 \\

Solution :-

❏ As we know that, Length of Paper = Circumference of Cylinder Therefore :

➟ Circumference = 2πr

➟ 44 = 2 × 22/7 × r

➟ 44 / 2 = 22/7 × r

➟ 22 = 22/7 × r

➟ 22 × 7 / 22 = r

➟ 7cm = radius

Now,

⟾ Volume of Cylinder = πr²h

⟾ Volume of Cylinder = 22/7 × (7)² × 7

⟾ Volume of Cylinder = 22/7 × 7 × 7 × 7

⟾ Volume of Cylinder = 22/7 × 49 × 7

⟾ Volume of Cylinder = 22 × 49

⟾ Volume of Cylinder = 1078cm³

Thus Volume of Cylinder is 1078cm³
