The pressure force on one side of the plate of 26.49 kN.

Explanation:

=> It is given that,

relative density of liquid = 0.85

Horizontal side of a rectangular plate = 1.25 m

Angle made by the plane of the plate = 60°

Pressure force = ?

=> For the given rectangular plate,

x bar = 2.4/2 sin60°

= 2.4/2  * √3/2

= 0.6√3

= 0.6 * 1.732

= 1.039 m

=> Pressure force on one side of the plate:

Force = ρ*g*A*x bar

= 850 * 10 * 1.25 * 2.4 *  1.039

= 26.49 kN.

Thus, the pressure force on one side of the plate is 26.49 kN.
