A rectangular plot 60m long and 30m wide is divided by its diagonals into four triangular plots. What area does each plot occupy?

length = 60 m

breath = 30 m

area of the rectangle = length × breadth

= 60 × 30 = 1800 m²

The area of all triangles formed by the diagonals in rectangle are equal

area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × 60 × 15

= 450 m²

VERIFICATION:

area of rectangle = 4( area of triangle )

=>1800 = 4(450)

=>1800 = 1800
