Answer:

l×b =160m2

given, 16× b= 160m2

therefore, b= 160m2÷16

b= 10 m

perimeter = 2(l+b)

=2(16+10 )

=2×26

=52

➝ Here, the question has given us the area of a rectangular plot that is 160 m² and length that is 16 m respectively. Now, the question has asked us to find the perimeter of the given rectangle. First of all we will find the breadth. We simply have to apply the formula of area of rectangle to find the breadth and then after we need to apply the formula of perimeter of rectangle and we will get our answer.

ANSWER:-

☆ Breadth of the rectangle = 10 cm

☆ Perimeter of the rectangle = 52 cm

GIVEN:-

↣ Length of the rectangle = 16 m

↣ Area of the rectangle = 160 m²

FIND:-

➱ Breadth of the rectangle = ?

➱ Perimeter of the rectangle = ?

FORMULAE:-

➮ Area of rectangle = (L × B) [To find the breadth]

➮ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B) [To find the perimeter]

Where,

  • L = Length
  • B = Breadth
  • P = Perimeter

SOLVING BY APPLYING THE FORMULA:-

  • FINDING THE BREADTH:-
  • Let Breadth be B.

☞ 160 = 16 × B [Finding Breadth]

☞ Taking 16 to LHS.

☞ 160 / 16 = B

☞ 10 = B

☞ B = 10 m

Hence, we got the breadth of the rectangle. Breadth of the rectangle is 10 m.

  • FINDING THE PERIMETER:-

☞ Perimeter = 2(16 m + 10 m)

☞ Perimeter = 2 × 26 m

☞ Perimeter = 2 × 26 m = 52 m

☞ Perimeter = 52 m

Hence, we got the perimeter of the rectangle. Perimeter of the rectangle is 52 m.
