A rectangular plot is fenced with 150m long wire . Find the dimensions of the plot if its length is twice its breadth.

L= 2b
So
P=2(l+b)
150=2(2b+b)
150=2(3b)
150=6b
b=25
l=2*25=50
the dimensions are 50m*25m

Let the breadth of the rectangular plot be b.

Then the breadth of the rectangular plot will be 2b.

We know the perimeter = 2(l + b)

                                        = 2(2b + b)

                                        = 6b.

Given that perimeter of the rectangular plot = 150m.

6b = 150

b = 150/6

b = 25

Therefore the breadth of the rectangular plot = 25m.

Then the length of the rectangular plot = 2 * b

                                                                  = 50m.
