Answer:

total area of road = 1641 m²

total cost of constructing the road = Rs 82050

Step-by-step explanation:

given, length of the plot = 300 m

breadth = 250 m

width of the road = 3 m

area of rectangle = length × breadth

area of the vertical road = 250 × 3 = 750 m²

area of the horizondal road = 300 × 3 = 900 m²

both the roads have a 3×3 square part in common

area of the common part = 3 × 3 = 9 m²

total area of the road = area of the horizondal road + area of the vertical road - area of the common part

total area of road = 900 +750 -9

       = 1641 m²

given: Rs 50 per sq.km for constructing road

total cost of constructing the road = 1641 × 50 = Rs 82050
