1 mole of any element or compound always represents these two things:

1)It contains 6.02x10^23 particles(atoms or molecules)

2)The number of molecules in a mole is defined so that the mass of one mole of a substance, expressed in grams, is equal to the substance's mean molecular weight. For example, hydrogen has an atomic weight of 1.0079 amu or 1.0079 g/mol. By this definition, 1 mol of hydrogen weighs 1.0079 g.

Answer:

the mole the link between the mass of atoms or molecules and the number of atoms or molecules.

A group of6.022×10^23 particles ( atoms, molecules or ion's) of a substance is called ion of that substance.

Explanation:

scientists count atoms and molecules by weighing moles. it has been found by performing experiments that if we weight an element equal to its atomic mass in grams then it contains 6.022 ×10^23 atoms of element.

therefore it is obvious that we can have a mole of atoms or a mole of molecule of a substance . one mole equal to 6.022 2 into 10 to the power 23 atoms and that's equal to 1 mole of molecule also .
