Total area of the plot = 72*95 = 6840
Area of the plot except the path= 65*88=5720
Therefore cost of laying the grass = 5720*40=228800
cost of constructing the path=(6840-5720)/80=1120*80=89600
Total cost = 318400

Answer:

Cost of construction at ₹80/m²= ₹ 97440

Cost of laying grass at ₹40/m²= ₹ 322320

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A rectangular plot of land measures 95 m by 72m Inside the plot a path of uniform width of 3.5 cm is to be constructing the path at ₹ 80 per m and laying the grass at ₹ 40 per m.

To find : The cost of construction?

Solution :

Length of the rectangle 95 m

breadth of the rectangle = 72 m

Area of the rectangular plot is

A=l\times b

A=95\times 72

A=6840m^2

Length of rectangular plot excluding path = (95+3.5+3.5)m = 102 m

Breadth of rec. plot excluding path = (72+3.5+3.5)m = 79 m

Area of rectangular plot excluding path is

A=102\times 79

A=8058m^2

Area of path = (8058 - 6840)m² =1218 m²

Cost of construction at ₹80/m²= ₹80 × 1218 = ₹ 97440

Cost of laying grass at ₹40/m²= ₹ 40 × 8058 =₹ 322320
