Let the length of the rectangular plot be (2x+8)m
let the breadth of rectangle plot be (x-2)m
given,
perimeter of rectangle plot = 48m
therefore according to the question,
perimeter = 2(length+ breadth)
48 m = 2{ (2x +8) +(x-2) }
48/2 = 2x +x +8-2
24 = 3x +6
(24 -6)/3 =x
x =6
length =2x +8
=2×6+8
=12+8
=20m
breadth = x-2m
=6-2 m
=4m
area = l×b
=20×4 m^2
=80 m^2
