a rectangular ravisior contains 36000L of water . find the depth of the water in the ravisior , if its base mesures 8m by 4m . find the surface area of ravisior

Given length of the rectangular reservoir [cuboid] = l = 8m
Breadth = b = 4m
Let the Depth(height) of the cuboid be `h`
Given volume = 36000 litre = 36m³
We know that the volume of a cuboid = lbh
⇒8m × 4m × `h`m = 36m³
⇒32h m³ = 36m³
⇒h = 36m³/32m³
∴h = 9/8m
∴The depth of the reservoir is 1.1m

Let,

Length = 8
Breadth = 4m
Depth[height] = x
Volume = 36000l

[We know, 1m^3 = 1000l]

Therefore,
36000l = 36m^3

Volume = lbh
36 = 8 × 4 × h
36 = 32 × h
36/32 = h
9/8 = h
1.1 m = h
