A rectangular sheet of metal 44 cm long and 20cm broad is rolled along its lenght into a cylinder , so that the cylinder has 20cm as its height .find the curved surface area of the cylinder

We know that the length of the rectangular sheet L = 44 cm

and the breadth of the rectangular sheet B =20 cm

The radius r of the cylinder=circumference of the base of cylinder

=  44 =2x22/7r

44x7/44

r=7

and the height h of the cylinder =20cm

volume of cylinder will be π²h

V=22/7x7x7x20

V=22x7x20

V=3080cm³
