A rectangular sheet of paper having length 88 cm and breadth 36 cm is rolled along its length and a cylinder is formed. Find the radius and height of cylinder.​

Here we need to find radius and height of the cylinder

⇒ From given data the rectangle sheet is rolled along its length then the length of the sheet will become as perimeter of circular base of the cylinder

       ⇒ 2\pi r = 88   [ 2\pi r formula for perimeter of the circle ]

       ⇒ 2\frac{22}{7}r = 88

       ⇒  44/7 r =88

       ⇒ r = \frac{88}{44} × 7 = 2(7) =14 cm

⇒ Radius of the cylinder = 14 cm

⇒ and the breadth of the rectangle sheet will become height of the cylinder  

⇒ height of the cylinder h = 36 cm
