A rectangular sheet of tin foil of size 30 cm * 18cm can be rolled to form a cylinder in two ways along length and along breath. find the ratio of the volume of the two cylinder thus form.​

width of paper = 18cm

length of paper = 30cm

1st case :- ( rolled along length )

height of the cylinder = 30cm

circumference of the circles at both the ends = 18cm

therefore radius = 18/2π

= 18 × 7/44

= 2.86 cm (approx)

therefore volume of the cylinder = πr²h

= 22/7 × (2.86)² × 30

= 22/7 × 8.18 × 30

= 5398.8/7

= 771.26 cm³ (approx)

2nd case:- ( rolled along width )

height = 18cm

circumference of those circles = 30cm

radius = 30/2π

= 30 × 7/44

= 4.77cm ( approx )

therefore, volume = πr²h

= 22/7 × (4.77)² × 18

= 22/7 × 22.75 × 18

= 9009/7

= 1287cm³

Therefore, the ratio = 771.26:1287 ( If u want u can simply it farther)
