A rectangular tank (30× 20 × 12)cm contains water to a depth of 6cm . A metal cube of 10cm side  is placed in the tank with its one face resting on the bottom of the tank. Find the volume of water, in litre, that must be poured in the tank so that the metal cube is just submerged in the water.

Volum of tank = 30 X 20 X12 = 8400cm^3
Water fill upto 6cm
Volum of water in tank = 30X20X6 = 3600cm^3
I hope
100cm^3 = 1m^3
Or 1m^3 = 1000litter
So, 36m^3 = 36X1000 = 36000litter.
