GIVEN :
Amount of water hold = 16200 l
length of base = 4.5 m
breadth of base = 3m
TO FIND :
height of tank : ?
SOLUTION :
Volume of the tank is equal to the amount of water holded by it .
First convert the litres into cubic .metres.
1 cubic metres = 1000 litres
so , 16200 l = 16200 / 1000 cubic m
= 16.2 cubic metres.
So , Volume of tank = 16.2 cu.m
Volume of tank (rectangular ) = l * b * h
16.2 = 4.5 * 3 * h
16.2/4.5 * 3 = h
162/45 * 3 = h
54 /45 = h
6/5 = h
1.2 m = h
Hence , the height of water in tank is 1.2metres.
