Given

  • Width/Breadth of rectangular tank = 110 cm
  • Height of rectangular tank = 70 cm
  • Volume of rectangular tank = 770 L

To find

  • Length of rectangular tank

Solution

⇰ Rectangular tank is nothing but a cuboid, we have breadth, height and volume, let's find out length.

Volume of cuboid = Length × Breadth × Height

⇨ 770  = L × 110 × 70

⇾ 1 L = 1000 cm³, Hence 770 = 770000 cm³

⇨ 770000 = L × 110 × 70

⇨ 770000 = L × 7700

⇨ L = 77000/7700

⇨ L = 10 m

⇾ 1 m = 100 cm, Hence, 10 m = 1000 cm

∴ The length of the rectangular tank (cuboid) is 1000 cm

  • capicity =770 litres

1m^3 =1000 litres

  • 770 litres= 0.77 m^3

height = 70 cm=0.7 m

  • breadth=110 cm =1.1 m

length=capicity/height×breadth

  • =0.77 m^3/0.7 m×1.1m

=77/77

  • =1m

Ans=length =1m
