volume of the rectangular tin
= length X breadth X height
=lbh
=10 cm X 10cm X 20 cm
=2000cm^3
we know that 1 cm^3 =1ml
so, 2000cm^3 = 2000ml
= 2 litres
Ans: the capacity of the rectangular tin box is 2 litres!

hope this answer helped you.

Concept

The capacity of a rectangular tank is its volume, which denotes how much liquid, or conditionally, how much material, it can store or how much liquid can be immersed in it. A rectangular tank has a cuboidal or rectangular shape. A rectangular tank's volume is expressed in cubic units.

Given

length of the rectangular tin = 10 cm

breadth of the rectangular tin = 10 cm

height of of the rectangular tin = 20 cm

Find

we are asked to determine the capacity i.e the volume of the rectangular tin in litres.

Solution

from the given data,

length = 10 cm

breadth = 10 cm

height = 20 cm

volume(capacity) = length × breadth × height

volume = 10 cm × 10 cm × 20 cm

volume = 2000 cm³

but we need to find it's capacity in litres.

we know that one cubic centimeter (cm³) = 0.001 litres.

∴ 2000 cm³ = 2000 × 0.001

= 2 litres

As a result, we determine that the rectangular tin has a 2 liter capacity.
