Answer:

8.57 m is high will be the water level be in the tank.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A rectangular water tank of base 11m x 6m contains water upto height of 5m. if the water in the tank of radius 3.5.

To find : How high will be the water level be in the tank?

Solution :

A rectangular water tank of base 11m × 6m.

The height is 5 m.

The volume of the rectangular tank is

V=L\times B\times H

V_r=11\times 6\times 5

V_r=330m^3

The radius of the tank is r=3.5 m.

Let height of tank be 'h'

The volume of the cylinder be

V=\pi r^2 h

V_c=\frac{22}{7}\times (3.5)^2 h

V_c=38.5h

The volumes are equal

38.5h=330

h=\frac{330}{38.5}

h=8.57

Therefore, 8.57 m is high will be the water level be in the tank.
