According to the question,

(x-\frac{20}{100}x)(y+5)=160

xy-\frac{20}{100}xy+5x-\frac{20\times5}{100}x=160

160-\frac{1}{5}\times160+5x-x=160

-32+4x=0

4x = 32

x = 8

Price after reduction = 8 - 20/100 × 8 = 6.4
